"Dear Father, I have no intention of making a peace pact between my body and my soul, and neither do I intend to hold back. Therefore, allow me to tame my body by not altering my diet; I will not stop for the rest of my life, until there is not more life left. You should not think that my body is so mortified and weak as it seems; it acts this way so that I should not demand the debt it contracted in the world, when it liked pleasure. Oh my body, why do you not help me to serve my creator and redeemer? Why are you not as quick, to obey as you were to disobey His commands? Do not lament, do not cry; do not pretend to be half dead. You will bear the weight that I place on your shoulders, all of it. I not only wish to abstain from bodily food but I wish to die a thousand times away, were it possible, in this mortal life of mine."

"and in that moment, I swear we were infinite"
My weekend so far has been wonderful, amazing, peaceful, beautiful, just simply breathtaking overall. I never realized how much I loved the feeling of winter until now. I love Maine, I love the atmosphere, and the woods. Nothing can describe how lovable this place is. Today, around town, they hosted a Christmas hat festival for anybody with the most “christmassy” hat. Despite not participating, my sister, mother, and grandmother all bought ourselves hats to go with the holiday spirit. I must say it was a little cold, but I could barely notice seeing as I was just happy being there. Especially with my family. As the day went on, my mother drove down to see the cove. If only there were words to describe how complete I felt at that moment. How complete I feel right now.
Absolute, immeasurable, infinite

"When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it…always."
Mahatma Gandhi (via quote-book)
"Do you believe that things happen for a reason? Is there some cosmic force that influences people’s lives or does everything just happen with no meaning and no plan? I personally believe that it’s both. There are too many coincidences in life for things to be all random, but there’s enough pointlessness and wasted effort and pain and loss and grief and suffering that I don’t see how everything could all be part of some grand plan."
